Geir Bruvik Mjelde has been appointed CEO of Norway's Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skisrederi (KG Jebsen).

Mjelde is replacing Jan Pedersen, 67, who has been CEO of the family-owned company for almost 40 years.

Mjelde, 51, was previously employed by Odfjell Tankers and Tailwind (Europe), and he was CEO of Utkilen — all Norwegian companies. For the last nine years, he has been with KG Jebsen as head of subsidiary SKS OBO & Tankers.
