RFOcean founder and managing director Frederik Rye-Florentz believes the time is right to shift the company’s focus from secondhand ships to newbuildings.

His London-based alternative investment and management firm recently inked an order for four 6,600-dwt chemical tankers at Wuhu Shipyard in China.

The stainless-steel vessels will be methanol-ready in preparation for the regulatory changes in the coming years.
