Russian shipowner SCF Group has named its third specialised Arctic shuttle tanker for crude oil shipments from the Yamal Peninsula.
Company president and chief executive Sergey Frank headed a delegation to Samsung Heavy Industries for the naming of the 42,000-dwt newbuilding Shturman Ovtsyn.
The ice-class Arc7 vessel, named after eighteenth century Russian hydrographer Dmitry Ovtsyn who explored the area where the ship will operate, joins sisterships Shturman Albanov and Shturman Malygin which were delivered in August and October.
