Diversified shipowner Seatrans has sold one of its oldest chemical tankers.

Managing director Gisle Kaarbo Rong confirms the 11,900-dwt Trans Borg (built 2000) has been cashed in.

The tanker, which is due for special survey in January 2020, has gone for $5.2m, according to brokers.

Some say Jeil International of South Korea is the buyer, but it did not reply to requests for comment.
