Ciegelski started as a trainee in shipping 40 years ago with Ahrenkiel Steamship. His experience with chemical carriers began with handling stainless-steel ships of between 3,000 dwt and 12,000 dwt at the former United Chemical Transport (UCT), a Heinrich Schoeller/Ahrenkiel venture.
