The production and bunkering company said earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) at its tanker unit grew by 243% to HKD 140.9m ($18.16m) in the 12 months to 30 June.
Brightoil operates five VLCCs and four aframaxes, which brought in revenue of HKD 1.07bn, up 36% year-on-year.
It said its strategy of focusing on Chinese imports and Chinese state-owned oil companies continued to pay dividends.
