Union Maritime has added to its growing orderbook with a contract for two more LR2 tankers.
The UK shipowner has struck a deal with China’s Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) for two 114,000-dwt aframax product carriers to be delivered in the third and fourth quarters of 2025.
Sources familiar with Union Maritime’s recent newbuilding activity said it now has four LR2 newbuildings on order in China.
