The specialized Handysize/ Handymax dry-bulk operating group has just
completed a deal for additional orders in Japan, adding to its growing
relationships with Japanese trading houses.
Western Bulk's latest order for two 42,000-dwt bulkers at Ishikawajima
Harima Heavy Industries (IHI) was concluded through Japanese trading
house Marubeni Corp, with which it has a long-standing relationship.
The company has worked with Western Bulk since the 1980s and Marubeni
tonnage is already included in the fleet of Western Bulk Carriers.
