Intercargo's 25th anniversary gala dinner recently was fittingly held at the Athens Hotel, which is part of the Chandris family's operations. Intercargo is the brainchild of the late Antony Chandris, who realised the need for an international forum for dry-cargo shipowners.
Michael Chandris was on hand to accept an unusually crafted plaque on behalf of his family.
Earlier in the day, the general meeting elected to bring Intercargo's chairmanship back to Greece under Nicholas Pappadakis of Antares Shipmanagement and Kassian Navigation.
