Damen Shipyards Sharjah (DSS) has, since being set up in 2014, become a major repair centre but marketing and sales chief Willem Moelker says the yard group is seeing a distinct drop in the scope of work being ordered due to depressed markets.
Moelker says DSS has drydocked around 500 vessels and built 35 Damen and non-Damen vessels in steel and aluminum.
