Greece’s Capital Maritime and Trading is believed to have purchased its second capesize vessel in as many months.
Brokers have identified the Evangelos Marinakis-controlled company as the buyer of the 179,300-dwt Gran Trader (built 2012), which has been sold by Japan’s Nisshin Shipping.
The Sungdong-built vessel is said to have changed hands for a price slightly above $22.5m. Managers at Capital declined to comment.
