Groups of students from across the RCA’s schools of architecture, communication, design and humanities focused on the topics of either pilot transfers from ship to ship or making rivers — specifically the Thames — safer.
The aim was to create tangible products that demonstrate how design can trigger behaviour changes that reduce risks to life.
Variations on pilot ladder systems were at the fore.
