Munich-based KGAL has sold the Sumitomo-built, 105,000-dwt crude tanker SC Sara, which has been on the market since July, to as-yet-unidentified Indonesian interests for $17.2m, brokers say.

The price is said to be in line with market expectations. Asian sources point to Jakarta-based Soechi Lines, which has been scouting for tankers to replace tonnage sent for recycling, as the buyer.

Brokers say they are not aware of any tenders for aframaxes from state oil major Pertamina, which takes almost the entire Indonesian fleet.
