Ambassador K Kesavapany, one of the governors of the Singapore International Foundation, said the increase in non-US naval power would impact the development of seaborne trade, as well as oil and other related industries.
He added that China’s policies and actions in the South China Sea are of grave concern regarding right-of-passage, sea and airspace access, communications and travel, as well as the ownership of undersea mineral resources.
