Ismar, speaking to TradeWinds as the Baltic Dry Index (BDI) hit the lowest point on record on Wednesday, says the significant reduction of its long position for 2015 has put the owner in a stronger position.
It now has 113% coverage for the first quarter, leaving it seven vessels short for the period. For 2015 as a whole, coverage has grown to 94%, meaning it is two vessels long for the year.
