Container volumes at the US west coast ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach have both bounced back after a weak February.

Los Angeles saw imports jump by 9.3% in March to 324,758-teu. The increase reflects a surge in volumes following the Chinese Lunar New Year.

Exports fell by 2.4% compared to a year ago with the port shipping out 188,155-teu compared to 192,849-teu last March.
