Icelandic container line Eimskip has revealed a new foray into the financing side of the business.
It has signed an agreement with Gamma Capital Management of New York to establish the inventory financing company Krit.
Eimskip said this opens up "new opportunities for customers of value-added services by connecting logistics services with inventory financing."
It is using its own IT systems to connect with the financial services of Krit, "creating a fast, efficient and secure financing solution for customers," it added.
