Three ships, a dock and a tug newbuilding have been refloated following a severe storm that hit Durban on Tuesday, causing widespread flooding.

Pictures showed the 9,200-teu MSC Ines (built 2006) blown sideways across the entrance channel.

Salvor Amsol said the ship was later refloated.

Five tugs had been brought in to move the vessel. It was safely moored in the port on Wednesday morning.
