The world’s largest open-hatch ship operator, G2 Ocean, is launching a scheme to allow cargo owners to offset carbon emissions from their shipments.
The programme will be digitally available through the company’s customer platform, MyG2, allowing a choice to fund one or multiple climate projects.
Offsetting shipping emissions involves agreeing to purchase credits for certified carbon offset projects offered through G2 Ocean’s carbon offsetting partner, Norway’s Chooose.
