Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering (KSOE) has sealed orders for two pure car/truck carrier newbuildings worth KRW 331bn ($239m), or $119.5m each.

In a regulatory filing, the South Korean shipbuilding group said a Middle East-based shipping company has ordered the LNG dual-fuel newbuildings and the vessels will be delivered by the second half of 2025.

KSOE did not reveal the owner’s name but said its Mokpo-based Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries will be constructing the pair of 7,500-ceu newbuildings.
