A glut of tonnage in the Med spelled more bad news for suezmax owners today as rates fell to new lows.
The 150,000-dwt Yannis P (built 2002) secured just Worldscale (WS) 77.5 from Vitol out of Novorossisk. The owners of the 134,410-dwt OS Breeze (built 1996) meanwhile accepted a lump sum of $2.9m from Addax from Ceyhan to Balik Papan.
Aframaxes fared slightly better.
