Norwegian owner Awilco LNG has bought into Golar LNG’s shipping spin-off Cool Company (CoolCo) two years after failing to get a similar venture off the ground.
The Oslo-listed company was part of a previous attempt to separate out Golar’s LNG carriers that was pulled in November 2019.
This would have been a joint venture also involving George Economou’s TMS Cardiff Gas.
