Awilco LNG has braced investors for a loss on the sale of two laid-up vessels.
Oslo-listed Awilco announced in the June the 125,556-cbm WilEnergy (built 1983) and 125,631-cbm WilGas (built 1984) were being sold.
Today it said the transaction had been completed and would bring a loss of $6.6m to the company’s 2016 balance sheet.
The vessels have both been in lay-up for several months prior to their sale and are thought to have been scrapped.
