Greek shipowner Thenamaris is emerging as the top pick to scoop a multi-year charter deal for a single LNG carrier from European electricity supplier Energias de Portugal (EDP).
Brokers name Thenamaris as the likely winner of the EDP tender but say compatriot TMS Cardiff Gas and Norway’s Knutsen OAS Shipping were also in the running for this business.
Contracts are expected to be signed within weeks.
