Qatar Gas Transport Company is seeking a $940 million loan to help pay for the acquisition of its huge LNG fleet. The financing is split between a conventional and an Islamic tranche, and will also include a subordinated segment, banking sources told Reuters.
SMBC is acting as adviser for the conventional tranche while BNP Paribas is adviser on the Islamic element.
