ConocoPhillips has shipped its first cargo into the Zeebrugge terminal in Belgium. Traders said the shipment was carried on the 149,700-cbm newbuilding Grace Cosmos.



The US company has a deal with GDF Suez that provides long-term access to the north-west European LNG market through the French giant’s regasification capacity at Zeebrugge.



“This arrangement has diversified ConocoPhillips’ LNG market access position in the Atlantic basin by adding¿ to the company’s existing regasification capacity in the Freeport LNG terminal and planned capacity in the Golden Pass LNG terminal, both located in the US Gulf of Mexico,” the supermajor said.



Under
