Casino mogul Sheldon Adelson is upping the ante in the battle for Macau ferry passengers by launching a new service on Friday to the resort from Hong Kong.
He is using a new terminal on an outlying strip of reclaimed land which he hopes to transform into a massive gambling and holiday centre.
Rivals like Steve Wynn and Stanley Ho, of Shun Tak Ferries, have casinos located on Macau’s mainland peninsula linked to China, where the existing ferry port is located.
