Nils Smedegaard Andersen has wasted little time finding new employment since his ejection from AP Moller – Mærsk.
The 58-year-old Dane was named as a non-executive director of oil giant BP with immediate effect on Tuesday.
“I am delighted to welcome Nils Anderson to the BP Board,” said BP chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg.
“Nils brings broad experience from the energy, shipping and consumer goods industries.
