Industry veteran Arthur Bowring is set to depart as managing director of the Hong Kong Shipowners Association after 20 years in the top job.
Sandy Chan will replace the retiring Bowring, who will keep a consultancy role with the organistaion.
Sabrina Chao, chairman of HKSOA, said in an open letter that Bowring was a respected, vocal presence in maritime affairs and one of the greatest advocates of the Hong Kong shipping industry.
