The Tsakos group of Greece seems set on bulking up and is said to have placed orders for four capesize bulkers at the SungDong yard in South Korea.
No prices have been revealed but the 170,500-dwt vessels are set to be delivered in 2010.
Sources suggest the orders were inked at the end of 2006 and have been kept under wraps. Tsakos officials decline to comment on the reports.
