Full details of the Deiulemar drama may never be known after 88-year-old co-founder Michele Iuliano died during a raid on his home.
The “Captain,” as he was known by locals, collapsed as the finance police of Italy’s Guardia di Finanza launched targeted his villa in Torre del Greco to the south of Naples.
It follows exactly one week after Deiulemar Compagnia di Navigazione – which Iuliano founded in 1969 together with partners Giovanni Della Gatta and Giuseppe Lembo – was declared bankrupt on the orders of an Italian judge.
