Hong Kong owner KC Maritime’s ongoing fleet expansion continues with an order for four more bulkers, lifting its newbuildings tally to 10.
The Sham Chellaram-controlled company, has ordered two 64,000-dwt and two 82,000-dwt bulkers at Cosco Shipyard Group, where it already has two ultramaxes under construction.
KC Maritime chief executive Vikrant Bhatia confirms the order, adding that the deals were concluded several months ago.
