MPT, which falls under the control of India’s Ministry of Shipping, is looking for a developer to take on the five-million-tonne-per-annum (mtpa) facility on a design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis.
Bid documents state the unit needs to provide 170,000 cbm of LNG storage, which would rule out many of the older LNG carriers currently available for conversion prospects.
