Labour unrest at a shipyard in the Aegean left an LPG carrier stranded there for more than a month, causing the Wallem-managed ship to lose weeks of charter hire and dealing a further blow to Greece’s already diminished status as a shiprepair location in the Mediterranean.
The 19,600-dwt Maple 3 (built 1993) arrived at Neorion Syros Shipyards on the island of Syros for repairs and class survey on 7 April, according to local coastguard authorities.
