Singapore-based law firm Oon & Bazul had humble beginnings when it was established by two experienced shipping lawyers — Oon Thian Seng and Bazul Ashhab — in 2002. The two partners were then its only lawyers but, today, it has no fewer than 40.
Litigation work is its speciality, covering the shipping, oil and gas and commodities sectors.
Bazul credits the firm’s growth to both the development of the Lion City as an international shipping centre and the emphasis the government has placed on turning the country into one of Asia’s top legal dispute resolution centres.
