Evalend Shipping’s appetite for newbuildings shows no sign of being sated.
The Greek shipowner, which has booked at least $1.1bn worth of newbuildings, has forked out around $140m for four more tankers and bulk carriers at Singapore-listed Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.
Industry sources said the company has added two more MR tankers and two open-hatch bulkers at the Chinese yard, lifting the total number of each ship type there to four.
