The Press family's Deugro Group says it has added three chartered-in heavy-lift multipurpose ships (MPPs) and is looking for additional vessels to purchase.
The German company's ship operating arm Dship Carriers will operate the 12,800-dwt Holandia (ex-BBC Nebraska, built 2004), Helvetia (ex-BBC Iowa, built 2005) and Gallia (ex-BBC Steinwall, built 2007). All have 240-tonne cranes.
Dships says it will run the ships on trades involving Asia, the Middle East and Europe
"These vessels are well-suited to support our growing client base and the contracts we have been awarded," said Arne Koester, executive chartering manager of Dship.
