The South African high court has ordered the public auction of a Parakou Tankers ship as a $60m row with Jinhui Shipping rumbles on.
Clear Asset will handle the sale of the 51,000-dwt Pretty Scene (built 2006) to raise funds to pay claims.
The applicant is lender Credit Agricole.
The tanker has stood off Durban under arrest for more than a year as a result of Parakou’s long-running legal feud with Hong Kong’s Jinhui Shipping.
