Tsakos Energy Navigation reported a third-quarter loss as tanker oversupply kept charter rates subdued and the company saw limited contribution from its profit share arrangements with charterers.

But chief operating officer George Saroglou tells TradeWinds that he does expect the company to turn a profit for the full year.

"We expected 2017 to be a weaker year in relation to the previous two or three years mainly due to the ship supply," Saroglou said.
