A delisting of IM Skaugen is set to end a 102-year relationship with the capital markets in Oslo.

Captain Isak Martinius Skaugen had been master of his own sailing ships since 1900. In 1916, he bought his first steam-driven ship, the 2,000-dwt Eikland, with money raised on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

The first shareholder of the company was Olaf Eikland, and the shares owned by his family in today’s IM Skaugen are held by a company called Eikland.
