Greece’s Naftomar has concluded the second purchase of a very large gas carrier (VLGC) in the span of a just a few weeks.

A Naftomar manager speaking to TradeWinds confirmed his company has acquired the 79,500-cbm Fountain River (built 1997). The ship has already joined the company’s fleet as Gaz Liberty.

The Naftomar official would not comment on broker reports his company paid $16m for the vessel, citing confidentiality clauses.
