Damage to a shaft generator ahead of a sea trial has delayed a new containership being built for Eimskip in China.
The Icelandic shipowner had ordered two 2,150-teu vessels, the Bruarfoss and Dettifoss, at Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding for $32m each.
The company said construction of the first, the Bruarfoss, is well under way and a sea trial was scheduled for this week.
