Soechi Lines of Indonesia is rumoured to have purchased the medium-range, 37,800-dwt products tanker Port Louis (built 2002) from Stella Marine Services.

Brokers say Soechi has paid $6.1m for the Guangzhou-built ship.

Soechi, which operates one of the largest Indonesian-flag tanker fleets, has built up its business on the back of charters to Indonesian oil major Pertamina. It is likely that the Port Louis has been acquired against another long-term charter to the state-owned entity.
