‘Clear mistakes were made’ in Ruby Princess case says NSW premier

The premier of New South Wales (NSW) has admitted that there were “clear mistakes” made in the handling of a Carnival cruiseship that called at Sydney earlier this year with suspected coronavirus cases aboard.

A total of 2,700 passengers were allowed to disembark from the 113,500-gt Ruby Princess (built 2008) in March this year in a decision that has been blamed for spreading coronavirus in Australia.
