Rhode Island-based Pangaea Logistics Solutions continues to churn out profits, becoming the first US-listed pure-play bulker owner to run entirely in black numbers for the third quarter.

The Ed Coll-led company turned in net income of $7.6m, or $0.17 per share, for the three months ending 30 September, while saying it earned premiums of some 29% to market averages for its operating sectors.
