German authorities are investigating why a boxship hit lock gates twice in the Kiel Canal.
The 1,298-teu Annalisa P (built 1998) struck the gates on 3 March at the southern end in Brunsbuttel, while entering the waterway.
Then the next day it made contact again on the way out at the other end of the canal.
