Sixty one pirates who launched an attack on an Indian naval vessel in the Arabian Sea this weekend have been arrested after a gunfight.
A hijacked fishing vessel which has been used as a mothership was also freed but the fate of some crew members remains uncertain.
An assault on K Line’s 4,738-teu Vancouver Bridge (built 2005) on Friday morning set in motion the series of events which eventually led to the arrests by the INS Kalpeni on Saturday night.
