The ship, which is on long term charter to Mitsui OSK Lines, went aground in Tateyama Harbour, Japan on 11 January.

Seaspan and MOL said the Hong Kong-flagged ship was pulled free by three tugs at about 10.55 local time.

“As soon as the necessary inspections, including an underwater survey, will be completed and seaworthiness is confirmed by the classification society, the MOL Express will proceed to the Port of Tokyo to begin her cargo operation,” MOL said.

The
