The state group told the Shanghai stock exchange that new contracts totalled CNY 141bn ($23.3bn) last year.
This compares to CNY 602bn in 2012.
CSIC's yards include Dalian and Dalian New Shipyard, Bohai Shipyard, Wuchang Shipyard and Shanhaiguan Shipyard.
