Very large crude carriers will be able to load US crude exports directly as the Port of Corpus Christi will go ahead with a dredging project.
The port authority announced a project partnership agreement last Saturday with the US Army Corps of Engineers for deepening and widening the Corpus Christi ship channel.
The project for deepening the channel had been approved twice in 2007 and 2014.
